'twas the night before the semester...

and all the through the house creatures are writing syllabi, doing laundry, checking off "to-do" list items and composing a conference paper (mad props to my squishypaste friend). yes, that's right we are finally starting classes tomorrow after a nearly six week break. getting into a routine will have to happen quickly, as the college art association conference in new york is fast approaching. stony brook is fortunate enough to be invited as a mfa school within 100 miles. so today the studio was busy with people selecting works for a short lists of contenders that the faculty will make parse through monday morning and make final decisions. install will be also be a quick one or two day event at the end of the coming week.

the collaboration with the craddock wetland preserve is coming along nicely. after three separate attempts at a working clay model, i think i've found a good design. the piece will be presented to the steering committee in the coming weeks and hopefully the bronze casting process will commence so the piece can be completed by early spring.

happy little craddock wetland trees.

there are rumors of another ice and snowpocalypse: redux 2 tuesday into wednesday, happy groundhog's day, eh?!

backyard view after snowpocalypse: redux 1 last week.
